Services

This Commune Panchayat is performing the following duties

  • Providing road and drainage facilities
  • Providing protested drinking water supply
  • Construction of minor buildings
  • Providing Street lights
  • Solid waste Management
  • Registration of Birth and Death & issue of certificate
  • Registration of Marriage & issue of certificate
  • Getting financial assistance from Government like MLA (LAD), MP (LAD), GIA etc, the infrastructure facilities are provided to the people.
  • All the water supply systems are being maintained and distributed drinking water to the people by this Commune Pachayat except Villianur, Kottaimedu, Kannyvapet, Ariyapalayam, Koodapakkam Villages. 45 no of OHTs and 104 no of borewells are under the operation and maintenance of this Commune Panchayat
  • Further this Commune Panchayt facilitate to issue Birth & Death certificate registered from the year 1979 to till date by computer and also it will be issue through any CSCs

The main revenue of this Commune Panchayat is property tax, water tax, entertainment tax & Professional tax. This Commune Panchayat had already connected a website during 2018 for payment of Property tax lay the individuals concerned. Three Bill Collectors and one Revenue Inspector are deputed for the collection of the above taxes.

Villianur Commune Panchayat is responsible for collecting garbages from the households and other premises. Though the Villianur Commune Panchayat is taking up regular cleaning/de silting work in drain, the activities of door to door collection of garbages, transportations, processing are being done by M/s. Swatchatha Corporation in the urban agglomeration areas of Seven Village panchayat in

Rest of others 11 number of Rural Village Panchayat’s, garbages are being removed by engaging 11 private tractors on the hire basis. The drain delisting work is carried out by engaging Commune Panchayat sanitary workers.

Issue Of Inhumation Permit

By RBD,immediately on receipt of the application along with a certificate will be issued by the Medical Officer Who attended the deceased.

Veterinary Medical Section

Stray animal menace

Animal Birth Control (ABC)Operation is performed on stray dogs and are kept under observation for 5 days. Anti Rabies Vaccination (ARV) is administered and released in the places where they were caught. Presently facilities exist to perform ABC only for 20 dogs per week.

Villanur Commune Panchayat has authorised Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animal (SPCA) to catch, perform ABC –ARV operation and relocation at the rate of Rs.445/dogs.

Sanction accorded for 200 dogs in first installment.

Stray Pig & Cattle Catching

Pigs which are allowed to roam around vacant plots and causing public health hazard are caught by employing Pig catchers from neighbouring state, on need basis.

Cattle menace is managed with the help of traffic police

Awareness campaign on Veterinary Public Health (Zoonotic Disease) in schools.

Birth & Death Registration

Registering and issue of Birth and Death

  • Registration of Birth and Death is compulsory
  • Birth and Death events to be registered at the place of occurrence
  • Registration of Birth and Death that had occurred even prior to enactment of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act 1969.
  • Reporting of Birth and Death within 21 days of occurrence of the events
  • Birth and Death have been issued for the year from 1880 to till date
  • Special provision as to registration of Births and Deaths of citizen outside India
  • The true copy of the Birth and Death Certificates have been issued for the period till to 1880 within 15 days on receipt of the application (subject to condition of record)
  • The Birth Certificate for the period till to 1930 and Death Certificate for the period till to 1954 will be issued in receipt of the application not only through computer center in Villianur Commune Pachayat and also at 42 Common Service Centre in Union Territory of Puducherry.
  • Renunciation Certificate for the period from 01.01.1882 to 16.08.1962 will be issued.
  • Name could be incorporated in the Birth Certificate till 31.12.2014 from the birth occurred before 2000 as on time measure.
  • Marriage Certificates have been issued for the year from 1880 to till date all marriages has been Registered by French Language.
  • The name of the adopted parents could be incorporated by replacing the Biological Parents in the Birth Certificate.
  • Issuing of burial permission to the residence of Villianur Commune Panchayat limits.

Delay in the Registration of Vital Events

The delay in the registration of vital events can be condoned by the following authorities :-

  • By the Registrar of Births & Deaths in case the delay is less than 30 days from the date of event on payment of a fee of Rs.50/-
  • By the Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths (Local Administration Department) if the delay is between one month and one year on payment of fee of Rs.50/-
  • By the Civil court in case of delay of more than one year on payment of Rs.50/-

Conduct of Civil Marriage based of French Code Civil

  • Application for Civil Marriages should be submitted supported with extract of the Birth Certificate of bride and bridegroom. The Marriage will be solemnized after ii days from the date of publication of Non Opposition / NOC

Registration of Declaration Marriage base on French Code Civil

The Marriage belonging to the Hindu and Muslim solemnized on custom or usage or tradition within the concerned Jurisdiction of the registrar which should be notified within 15 days following the celebration by producing prescribed documents of the bride and bridegroom, will be registered.
